| KENNEL STAFF / VET ASSISTANT primary duties Kennel Care: Boarding dog and cat care. Walking dogs, cleaning cages, feeding, administering oral medications, laundry, washing dishes. Cat and dog bathing. Housekeeping: Duties, include floor care and other hospital cleaning maintenence. Vet Assisting: Duties include assisting the veterinarian or technician in patient restraint for sample collections, nail trims, and vaccinations. Potential for learning laboratory procedures, radiology, surgical prep, fluid administration and blood collection. Our Kennel Staff / Vet Assistant positions are part time only. Morning shift begins at 7:30am and ends at 1:00pm, Monday - Saturday. Afternoon shift begins at 3:00pm and ends between 7 - 8:00pm, Monday - Friday . Saturday afternoon shift begins at 1:00pm and ends when the work is completed, usually between 5 - 7:00pm. Sunday morning shift begins between 8 - 9:00am (based on the volume of boarding animals ) and ends when the work is completed (1-3 hours ). Sunday afternoon shift begins around 5:00pm and ends when the work is completed ( 1-3 hours). Housekeeping duties are included. |
